PULAU MANUKAN

Pulau Manukan is the most popular island in the Kota Kinabalu area . The island also has some well -stretched areas on the south coast. The best beaches are at the eastern end of the island. Off the coast of Manukan Island there are coral reefs that are very suitable for diving.It is an island located 10 kilometers away from the city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. When visitors come to Kota Kinabalu to visit the capital city of Sabah, they will also descend on Manukan Island during their visit to Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park. Manukan Island is the second largest island in the national park, with its vast coastline in the southern part of the island. The waters are full of coral reefs that are very interesting and suitable for snorkeling, diving and swimming. In comparison to other islands that make up the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, Manukan Island has the most advanced facilities. These include water supply, electricity supply, dewatering plants, sewerage systems, and even solar -powered public telephones. Manukan Island was once consolidated on the mainland of Kota Kinabalu before the Ice Age.There are boats available from Kota Kinabalu to Manukan Island jetty daily from 8.30 am to 4.15 pm. The journey usually takes about 20 minutes.

DESA CATTLE DAIRY FARM

Desa Cattle Dairy Farm is a dairy farm located at the foot of Mount Kinabalu in Kundasang Valley, Sabah, Malaysia owned by the Desa Cattle (Sabah) Sdn Bhd where most of Sabah's cow milk and dairy product been produced.The farm covering an area of 199-hectare and has been frequently dubbed as Sabah's "Little New Zealand" with geographic panorama scenery view almost looked like in the latter country;[3][4] as well with its cow breed of Holstein Friesian which is imported from the country.DESA is a household name in Sabah because most Sabahans grow up drinking milk from Desa Dairy Farm, which produces nearly one million liters of fresh milk annually. But Sabah people feel affection for Desa milk because of more reasons. You will know why if you visit Desa Dairy Farm in Mesilau, which is about 100 KM away from Kota Kinabalu City (KK). In fact, this farm has become a well-known tourist attraction. Throngs of tourists go there every day to enjoy the delicious dairy and beautiful scenery.

The scene is so breathtaking that many tourists taking selfie and photos. FYI, many photographers also come here to use Mt. Kinabalu as the background for wedding shots of their customers. Photo taking is free outside the fence. The photography permit fee is RM100 (≈US$27) for you to enter the farm for better camera angles. In case you worry that the cows will charge at people who wear red dress.
