Bukit Bendera is a parliamentary area in the state of Pulau Pinang , Malaysia . Pulau Pinang is located between the lands of Kedah and Perak in the north of Peninsular Malaysia. At 830 m above Georgetown , the peak of Bukit Bendera provides a comfortable base that allows travelers to escape the biting heat below. In general, this hill is 5 degrees Celsius cooler than the sea line. From the top, travelers can see amazing views down the entire island and even to the main land across the sea. There is a pleasant garden, old-style cottages, restaurants and inns, a Hindu temple , and a Muslim Mosque on top. Pulau Pinang Hill is actually dubbed Bulit Strawberi because it is also a producer of strawberries . The shape of the earth's surface and cold temperatures have made strawberries grow well. The stub that reaches the top is easy via the Waterfall Botanical Gardens on foot. The official name of this hill is Bukit Pulau Pinang, and it is still generally called Bukit Pulau Pinang
