CAMERON HIGHLAND

The Cameron Highlands were named after William Cameron, a British explorer and geologist [4] who was commissioned by the then colonial government to map out the Pahang-Perak border area in 1885. One other popular activity in Cameron Highlands, actually more of a tradition, is to have tea and scones. TAMAN NEGARA

Taman Negara is the largest with an area of 2,477 km. The park has become a famous eco-tourism destination in Malaysia. There are many geological and biological attractions in this park. Gunung Tahan is the highest point in Peninsular Malaysia located in Taman Negara, climbers can use Kuala Tahan or Merapoh as the starting point of the climbing expedition. The National Park has many rare and endangered mammals such as tigers , deer , elephants , deer , wild boars , moles , and wildebeests . Sungai Tahan became a habitat area toKelah fish , a kind of competition fish.

All visitors must obtain permission/permit from the Department of Wildlife and National Parks before setting foot in the National Park. There are many hostels and hotels in the park. Tourists to Taman Negara can also choose to participate in fishing activities, especially in Lata Berkoh and Sungai Kenyam . There are 300 species of fish mainly from the carp family such as kelisa fish , kelah fish , and many others are found in the rivers in the National Park. Tourists can also rent boats for fishing and water sports. he most popular activities in the National Park are canoeing on the river and exploring the forest track routes. The Canopy Path found here is also very interesting to give visitors a close -up view of animal and plant activities in the high forest canopy. Other activities include visits to Lata Berkoh for bathing, fishing on the Keniam River, and visiting aboriginal villages. Observation huts are also provided for the convenience of visitors to observe the wildlife here. Small huts built high above the ground allow visitors to spend the night to observe wildlife in its natural habitat. Visitors can also explore the caves either by boat or on foot. GENTING HIGHLAND
